Unlike standard open separation devices, the Sepmag radial symmetry results in up to 5 times faster separation speeds. Compared to other equipment, such as rod-like systems (where the force decreases quickly due to the small rod diameter), capture times are reduced from hours to seconds. This is achieved without the need to apply an excessive force, which often results in bead aggregation problems, extra sonication steps and generally longer resuspension times.
