How do Sepmag® Systems work with ESTAPOR® magnetic microspheres?

Sepmag A System with ESTAPOR magnetic microspheres

The most frequent concern when considering the use of modern Biomagnetic Separation Systems is their compatibility with specific magnetic beads. Although Sepmag® devices are already working successfully in IVD labs and production lines, this is a very legitimate question.

Come to MEDICA and you will get a first-hand look at how Sepmag Biomagnetic Separation systems work with ESTAPOR® magnetic microspheres. Just drop in to the MerckMillipore booth (Hall 03 / A30) and talk to the magnetic bead experts. Because we share numerous satisfied customers who use their beads and our separation devices, they will be showcasing a Sepmag® A125ml as part of their exhibit.

The Sepmag® A series is suitable for volumes ranging from 1 ml to 250 ml, using homogenous magnetic bead separation conditions that can be reproduced in larger volumes up to 10L or more. The big difference with respect to a standard magnetic separation rack is that processes tested on a Sepmag® A can be scaled up without increasing losses or causing irreversible aggregation problems. Just by using the right large volume Sepmag® Q system your scale-up is guaranteed, because the magnetic force on both devices is homogenous and has the same strength.

Sepmag Q System allows for an easy scale up

If you are considering ESTAPOR® magnetic microspheres for your IVD-kits, just come along to MEDICA to see how they perform with Sepmag® biomagnetic separation systems.
