Data protection policy

Sepmag Systems, SL, (hereinafter, Sepmag, and identified in the Legal Notice) gathers information on USERS through this website. USERS voluntarily cede this information when they accept this Personal Data Protection Policy. Before doing so, it is recommended that USERS carefully read the following paragraphs to understand the typology of data, the purpose of its collection and the procedures the USER may follow to protect it.

 

Origin of data

 

The different forms installed on this website collect personal data from people who use them to contact Sepmag or to request specific information. This data has different purposes:

  • General consultations. To facilitate a personalised response to consultations formulated by individuals and companies regarding the activities Sepmag develops. A name and email address are required.
  • Registration of users. This enables USERS to download scientific material. A full name and contact email address are required. Occasionally, the biomagnetic separation field of application in which the USER operates may be asked.
  • Periodic information. Every so often, scientific information is sent about the life sciences and biotechnology sectors that may be useful to the USER, in addition to recent information on Sepmag products and services. To subscribe to this service, an email address is required.

 

User of email addresses

 

In general, an email address is used to send commercial information about products and services, as well as answer questions and other consultations directed to Sepmag.

It is also used in the process of any commercial negotiations, during delivery periods for products or the provision of services hired, and in post-sale procedures involving technical assistance.

Occasionally, it is used to check the registered USER is aware of the status of their access account and relevant changes that may have occurred to data protection policies and the general terms and conditions of use of sepmag.eu.

 

Data processing

 

All data obtained via forms located on sepmag.eu are processed confidentially and stored in the BIOMAGNETIC SEPARATION file, for which Sepmag is responsible and which is located under the jurisdiction of the European Union, as established in article 5 of Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal (LOPD).and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) Under no circumstances will this data be ceded to third parties.

This collection of data will be used internally for commercial purposes. Further information may be added to the file; it may be subject to investigation and data mining; it may be cross referenced with other data bases that have been declared with the Spanish Data Protection Agency; and it may be grouped to obtain user profiles.

Any processing of this data is designed to improve its security, statistical analyses, the design and control of promotional campaigns, and to improve operations in all aspects related to Sepmag.

In any case, this data will never be shared with people external to the Sepmag organisation, nor will it be sold or transferred.

Information from minors will not be gathered.

When a co-branding action is developed with third parties, the data collection form will display a link to this Data Protection Policy and another to the policy corresponding to the promotional partner, which will automatically obtain registration from the USER. The USER must accept both data protection policies in a single act in order to access the promoted action.

 

Liability exemption

 

Sepmag adopts the appropriate technical and organisational measures outlined by applicable Spanish legislation to safeguard the personal data obtained and to protect it against unauthorised access, the loss of information, the destruction of records, and unauthorised alteration or processing. In no case does this effort equate to a full guarantee of protection.

The USER is responsible for protecting their passwords, identification numbers and keys and other specific access data associated with the use of sepmag.eu.

This site may also use links to third-party sites, the personal data protection policies of which are not the responsibility of Sepmag. When the USER accesses these sites, they may decide whether to accept their respective data protection policies or not.

 

Exercising of individual rights

 

The USER may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation or opposition to the data registered at any time. Likewise, they may request that promotional or information communications no longer be sent to their email address with the exception of legally obligatory communications, and their request will be immediately attended to.

To exercise these rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition, Sepmag adapts to Spanish legislation and establishes a procedure with the same facilities and costs as initial cession. The USER must request the exercising of their right by prepaid post sent to Sepmag Systems, SL, Avinguda del Parc Tecnològic del Vallès, 3. Edifici CENT. E-08290 Cerdanyola del Vallès.

The communication must include credible identification of the individual and the data they wish to rectify, cancel or recover. To obtain further information on this procedure, the USER should direct their consultations to the email address contact@sepmag.eu.

 

The USER may exercise, using the same procedure, their right to receive a copy of any information we hold about you (or request that we transfer this to another service provider) in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format.

Sepmag's data protection policy is governed by GDPR's principles of legality, loyalty, transparency and confidentiality of the data.
